Just Us...

Yes... that is SNOW. In JULY! We went to the summit at pikes peak and it was snowing... hahah It was 91 degrees at the bottom and 43 degrees at the top! Glad we brought sweaters!!

What does that crazy fairy DO with all these teeth?

Seriously, anyone who knows the tooth fairy... what DO YOU DO with these teeth? lol Kendra read a book the other day and told me that Junie B Jones thinks she recycles them. That's why she lost a tooth and the next day the baby had a new one. Needless to say, I certainly hope not! haha YUCK!

Gotta love the toothless grins though... no teeth was adorable for babies, but even cuter is a 7 year old missing a ton in the front! haha

Petting Zoos and Pony Rides

Lexi was a little nervous about the petting zoo at first, but the baby goats got some Lexi love. Both of them loved the pony rides. Lexi rode on AJ and Kendra got to ride on Michevious.

Kendra the Rodeo Queen and Bungee Jumper

We went to the Cripple Creek fair today and Kendra got to do the rodeo ride and bungee jump. Both had adults on them so she was pretty excited to FINALLY be big enough to ride. She stayed on FOREVER on the rodeo ride and flew above the butterflies on the bungee jump. It was a lot of fun!

It's Daddy Time

Hurry up and Wait...

We have learned pretty quickly that part of being in the military means you have to master the ability to Hurry up and Wait. Last week Dan gets home and tells me he needs all his gear from NTC cleaned tomorrow. Not a huge deal if you like pounding sand out of 30 pound vests and such and power-washing them with a hose after you try forever to figure out how they come apart and go back together... but it sucks when you work ALL day to get it done and here it is a week later... it is still sitting in the living room because he hasn't needed it yet. Well, days I want the car are no different. "Pick me up at 4 today" translation? "If you are here at 4:01 I will have gotten out at 3:30 and will be waiting in the parking lot." "If you get here at 3:45, my Sgt's wife will walk over from her car where she is waiting and tell you we will be late. Late Late. Not 10 minutes... It means rush here to get me but I won't get out until closer to 5:30...." Not a huge deal because in this boredom Kendra digs out the camera and goes crazy... haha some are pretty cute... ;)
